New COVID-19 Protocol Updates
3/24/20 UPDATE in light of new stay-at-home WA mandate
We are still seeing ill and injured patients and will continue to do so for as long as we are allowed. Preventative and elective services are no longer permitted under the recent stay-at-home orders from our governing bodies. We will contact clients directly if any existing appointments need to be rescheduled or postponed.
We are experiencing a high volume of phone calls and emails at this time. We are working diligently to triage each appointment request coming in and will contact you as soon as possible regarding your pet’s issue.
PLEASE FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH OUR TEMPORARY PROTOCOL UPDATES. MORE INFORMATION BELOW THE IMAGE.
PARKING LOT CHECK-INS
During these uncertain times, Lien Animal Clinic has decided that in order to support the CDC’s request for social distancing, we will be checking in patients from the parking lot. Owners will remain in their cars during their pets’ exams.
We have adjusted our weekday hours to 7:40 AM – 5:00 PM. Our weekend hours will remain unchanged. This is an effort to limit community exposure to COVID-19, to help keep our clients, staff, and families as safe as possible.
INCREASED EXAM LENGTHS
In addition to our already increased cleaning regimens, we will now also be doubling the length of all appointment times to allow for enhanced measures during intake, disinfection, and discharge. Please allow extra time in your schedule to accommodate these increased safety precautions.
POSTPONEMENT OF NEW WELLNESS REQUESTS
We will not be scheduling any additional preventative or elective care services in an effort to minimize social contact and the possible transmission of the virus. Any existing appointments at the clinic will not be canceled unless there is a special circumstance that forces us to do so. The schedule of new Wellness Exam requests are being postponed until further notice due to limited appointment availability. If your pet is due for a Wellness Exam but you have health concerns for your pet, please let us know when you request an appointment so that we are aware.
We apologize for the inconvenience. We are doing all that we can to ensure we have sufficient staffing and appointment availability for sick and injured patients. Your furry family members are our top priority. We will reach out to you once we have the all-clear to resume preventative and elective care in the clinic. This will allow us to further limit our community exposure, and will also allow more ill or injured patients to be seen during our shortened hours.
ONLINE PHARMACY AND HOME DELIVERY
Another way to help protect yourself and the community from the spread of COVID-19 is to request your pet’s medications and prescription diets through our online pharmacy. The pharmacy offers home delivery so that you do not have to come into the clinic.
If your pet is experiencing a true emergency, please call us at 206-932-1133 and select the emergency line option. Please contact SVS Downtown for after-hours help at 206-624-9111.
